If You Only Read One Line in the Mueller Report...

There is a lot of news to discuss from today’s release of the Mueller Report, but one particular section is already jumping off the page:

This sentiment was was apparently not confined to President Donald J. Trump himself.

    1. Strictly referring to the time and effort required to deal with this Democrat fishing expedition that turned up NO COLLUSION. If there's no collusion the obstruction stuff is crap, and you can't indict the President.

It's over libs. Better figure out who you want to lose to Trump next year/

      1. Congratulations Poddy Mouth!!!  You have now managed to out-stupid Jamie Geillis when she talked about her spotty voting history.

In truth, I knew you could and would clear that high bar.  When it comes to stupid, I believe in your limitless supply of it.

        1. Thanks for playing, Moderatus/PodestaEMails. Regarding your comment about a "Democrat fishing expedition," perhaps you forget that Mueller is a Republican, appointed by Rosenstein, another Republican, after Sessions, yet another Republican, recused himself from the Russia investigation.

In addition, even Barr declined to exonerate Trump in his four page memo a couple weeks ago. But do feel free to dream on about "no collusion" and "no obstruction."

By the way, I'm not a "lib." But I will admit to being a Never-Trump Republican. That Never-Trump position is looking even better…….. Bill Weld for President!

      2. PodestaEmails …

You'd have been better off quoting directly from the White House Office of Propaganda:

This morning, after two years and $35 million of taxpayer money wasted, Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report concluded what President Donald J. Trump has told the American people from day one: There has been no collusion or obstruction of justice. ….

Today, the witch hunt is over. What Congressional Democrats choose to do now will define both Washington and Americans’ faith in government for years to come. Will they continue to try to delegitimize a duly elected President, or will they at last work with him in good faith to deliver a positive agenda for middle- and working-class America?

Still don't have a particularly compelling explanation of why there were such a series of consistent lies from the President, those working for the Trump Campaign, the White House staff, and the Trump family.  No explanation of the President's resistance to testifying under oath.  No explanation of the "I'm fucked" statement from the President.

And I've lost count … how many times has the Trump gang predicted that "this time, it's really over" ?

  1. I think Trump has arguably committed several impeachable offensives. But this is not one of them.

Read the whole thing. His point was that the investigation consumes an administration making it impossible to accomplish anything. That's a very valid reaction.

    1. “His point was that the investigation consumes an administration . . .”

That’s an extremely generous interpretation, of what, may, or may not, have been “his point.”

Given that tRump has demonstrated infinite self-concern, and also demonstrated limited concern for anything resembling “administration,” I have great difficulty agreeing with your interpretation.

      1. David, your interpretation is right on point.

According the quote from Mr. Mueller's report cited above that's exactly what Trump said and meant during his meeting with former AG Sessions.

        1. Nope…sorry. Not buying it.

An innocent man would not react that way.

He knew they were going to catch him at something. He just didn't know what.

          1. "investigation consumes an administration making it difficult to accomplish anything"

Maybe if Trump didn't spend half of every day in "executive time," he might have accomplished something by now.

Actually, I take that back. Ryan and McConnell did the heavy driving and lifting for the tax cut for billionaires, which is Trump’s only significant “accomplishment” to date. Trump just rode along in the rumble seat.

    2.  Legitimate concern.

      But
      – 97 federal judges, including 2 SCOTUS justices
      – a war in Yemen
      – denuclearized North Korea
      – end of ISIS
      – $1.138 trillion deficit
      – kids in cages up and down the border- thousands of whom cannot be identified

      He has done a lot.
So the headlines are not all about how great he is. He has done a lot

  2. “This is the end of my Presidency. I’m fucked.” . . .

    C’mon.  It’s no big deal . . .

"That's just something people say, like 'Thanks a million', or 'So's your mother'!"

    Herb Tarlek

    1. Perhaps, like other times Trump has said "I'm fucked," he was hoping it would be covered by a nondisclosure agreement and a few under the radar payments.
