  1. MAGAt Bombs 11 and 12 were discovered and were believed to be meant for Cory Booker and Former CIA Director James Clapper.  But, hey let the right get mad about McConnell being heckled in a restaurant.

Our good friend Moderatus said it best yesterday:

Great point, it's not just Donald Trump but his whole campaign too! Stop the violence Republicans.

      1. In fairness to Negev, he said no such thing.  He merely noted that the postage was well less than probably required and the weight in excess of the Postal Services 13 ounce limit.  He thus speculated that the bombs may have been hand delivered.  Authorities have confirmed at least two bombs were hand delivered.

Negev specifically disavowed the "false flag" theory and other craziness.  His comments were part of a reasonable quest for the truth in these hateful attacks.

He specifically said he “did not doubt” they were real bombs or that Democrats and journalists were targeted.

        1. I appreciate that V however I am not certain you saw the post I added later in that thread, where I do in fact doubt how real the bombs are.

And I still do. This is based on the evidence that was provided which is still not solid, but here is what we knew then/now and why I still wonder.

          1. Packages were not hand delivered – This means postage was correct.

          2. Pipe bombs were PVC – they meet weight requirements for 6 stamps

          3. 6 stamps sends approx. 6 oz of mail, or 1 stamp per ounce. 6 ounces is approx. 3/4 of a roll of quarters –

          4. The timer did not have an alarm function, necessary to trigger detonation, with the battery appearing to be only ignition source.

These bombs were supposed to be packed with glass and sulfer, as well as gunpowder.

Now, you have approx. 6oz of weight to work with. You have the PVC tube, end caps, digital clock with battery, electrical tape, wires, crushed glass, sulfur, and gunpowder.

Divide that up however you see fit. Include the 0% success rate. Ask yourself how a clock timer, whether effective or not, would be useful in a mail bomb. Why would there be photos posted of an undetonated, intact bomb if it were not inert, especially prior to apprehending the culprit?

I still stand by my statement that it is clear Dems and reporters were targeted. We now know it is a Right wing nut job with the latest news. We will find out if the bombs were indeed viable, and I will be more than happy to say I am wrong. I am happy nobody was hurt and they caught the guy.

          1. Thanks for the clarification.  PVC can make a bomb, but not much of on e, since it bursts at such low pressure.  In this case, obviously, evil intent appears to have been somewhat mitigated by utter incompetence.

But, that's the same conclusion we have to draw from the entire Trump administration!

          2. FBI Director Wray commented:

At a Friday afternoon press conference, Wray stressed that the devices, allegedly mailed out by 56-year-old Florida resident Cesar Sayoc Jr this week, were not hoaxes but contained 'explosive materials'.

He said that while none of the 14 package bombs had exploded, the devices all had the potential of detonating in transit, or if shaken or exposed to a heat source.

'Though we are still analyzing the devices in our laboratory, these are not hoax devices,' he said.

'Each device consisted of roughly six inches of PVC pipe, a small clock, a battery, some wiring and what is known as energetic material, which is essentially potential explosive materials that give off heat and energy through a reaction to heat, shock or friction,' the head of FBI told the press.

We'll see what the actual charges are and get a better sense of the investigative results after court appearances, apparently set to happen Monday.
