Trump Stink
You make my nose shrink
You make everything
Rancid.
Trump Stink.
I need to hold my nose.
I need to burn my clothes.
Trump Stink.
I think I hate you.
But now I know for sure!
Trump brings the funk. But not the good kind.
Plan ahead.
I just read that Nuns on the Bus will be coming to Colorado in October. Nuns on the Bus 2018
Oct 14 2018 (Morning) Mass
Denver, CO
Oct 14 2018 (Evening) Townhall for Justice TBA
Denver, CO RSVP
Oct 15 2018 (Morning) Lobby Visit and Rally
Office of Rep. Coffman, Aurora, CO RSVP
Since the Nuns on the Bus tour is concerned with social justice, will it be addressing the egregious sexual abuse by Catholic clergy of thousands of victims and even worse, the coverup by high ranking Church officials ?
Just asking……
American nuns have spoken out against sexual abuse in the church, often in the context of abuse of women religious, but including minors and others. In particular, Sister Simone Campbell, who heads Network, the group that puts the nuns on the buses, has been outspoken about abuse in the church and its roots in the patriarchy. In fact, the Vatican tried to punish the nuns for speaking up about this and many other things.
Just telling…
All well and good. But my question was would the Nuns on a Bus tour be speaking up about the abuse and coverup? Reviewed the agenda and not a word about it. But obviously a not so subtle anti-Trump agenda.
Go and see if they do. Then, report back, and we'll all know if they did.
There’s nothing at all subtle about their agenda, by the way, and it opposes a lot of positions that aren’t just Trump's
Nice agenda. Who's going to pay for all that stuff that they want?
Wonder how they feel about the notion that people trying to immigrate into our country actually have a skill set that our economy can use; the way it's done by Australia and New Zealand.
I expect they believe it's immoral. They certainly oppose it.
As for paying for their agenda, I expect they would do so in similar ways to those used in the rest of the West.
Do you mean skill set as in a willingness to do work that Americans are unwilling to do, like harvest the vegetables you eat or wash the dishes in the restaurants where you eat? Those skills?
I know that's a snarky response, but until we have (at least) a guest worker program, we'll continue to have undocumented workers doing these jobs and you will continue to personally benefit from it.
CHB — I recognize you are not a Trump-ite, but the question of "who's going to pay for all that stuff that they want" never seems to be an issue on any number of other programs. In the past two years, Defense spending went from just below $600 billion to $715 billion. In the past year, the Republican Congress agreed to give away at least $150 billion per year by cutting tax rates (and more if they remove the "sunset" on the most popular cuts). We continue to provide tax subsidies or deductions to a variety of industries and personal expenditures and no one asks about them.
but the question of "who's going to pay for all that stuff that they want" never seems to be an issue on any number of other programs
It should be.
Who's going to pay for all that stuff that they want?
Rich people.
ajb: we need a guest worker program. Such has been successful in the past. And, no, I don't consider your comment "snarky." One of my favorite "snarks" used on Yahoo a few times is when I reply to somebody saying "deport them all" with: "when all the illegals are gone, Joe can get his dream job of cleaning toilets at truck stops."
I'd rather take a small amount of that extra $115 billion defense money and give a half billion each over the next 10 years to NGOs operating in El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras. Don't give it to the governments due to corruption in all three countries.
And there is the quote allegedly said by the late and great environmentalist, Edward Abbey: "when migrants arrive at our border, greet them with open arms. Then give them arms so they can return home and solve their own problems."
Well- then we better stop hiring resort and hotel staff , farmworkers and mechanics and restaurant workers. and all the other low wage scut jobs we won't do.
Prices go up a little bit, but then we get only skilled labor going forward, so maybe it works out
Well, well. Ex Trump attorney Michael Cohen has cut a plea deal, due in court 2 pm Denver time. This cannot be good news for the Trump Crime family.

Making Attorneys Get Attorneys!
I think this is the one I've liked the most:
My Attorney Got Arrested
My fave? Mueller Ain't Goin' Away.
With Mueller, or New York State?
It's the southern District of New York.
Isn't that where Chuck Rhodes was the US Attorney?
For clarification, it's the US Attorney's office for the Southern District of NY. So Federal, but not Mueller; he handed Cohen off to SDNY for investigation and prosecution. Given Cohen's apparent willingness to sing now, Mueller might have to take him back in-house.
