“It’s very irresponsible to deny the reality of a problem to see whether it might stop existing.”
–Carles Puigdemont

The chronic urge for bipartisanship from stupid Democrats betrays their base, is usually bad policy, and is an excuse for corrupt and cowardly politicians.
Breaking Think Progress news: not every Democrat agrees with every Democratic position espoused by Zappatero. The article linked in the post lists one Democratic state representative at one event. Somehow, that is extrapolated to a blanket indictment of a "chronic urge."
On the other hand, Democrats (unmentioned by Zappatero) are recognizing a link between climate change and fires.
Polis: With Trump in White House, states must take the lead on climate change
And the 2018 Colorado Democratic Platform sorta features climate change:
The Chronic is Bennet.
Of course it is…….
John, the LWNJs forget that what they are peddling now was what made the Democratic Party toxic 30 years ago. (It took Bill Clinton and the DLC to detoxify the party and make it electable again.)
They sincerely believe that if they do the same thing all over again now – actually double down on it – they will get a better result than they did then.
There will be a movement of Trump stink today … Bedminster NJ (Trump property/golf) to Columbus, OH, to Lewis Center, Ohio, and back again.
Colorado will be upwind and distant enough to be untouched by the direct effects. There is a secondary stink warning from those who have been hugging the *resident and then coming to Colorado. Contagion precautions are advised.
We are deep into ‘jumped the shark’ territory here. <eyeroll> <writes check to Karen McCormick>
So Rep. "Added a trillion a year to the deficit to give tax cuts to the rich" now wants to make it up by cutting food stamps?
For the sake of the children, of course!
A quick Google —
Personally, I sort of like debt … especially the debt that provides the roof over my head to give shade on a day like today.
Happy birthday, Michael! Thanks for all you do.
Thanks, Mama! Skinny even baked me a cake!!
I hope you like it, Michael.
Happy birthday, Michael, and many happy returns.
Thx CHB – I got a little hiking in this weekend in the Sierras (first time in these parts).
It was delish, skinny!

Ladies and gentlemen, our stable genius…(and who the f* is 'Mike'? One of the voices in his head???) Donnie prefers his kids in cages.
Covfefe!!!
Apparently the Yammerer was under the impression that Michael Jordan is a fan of his. Not so much.
Our current *resident is catching some flack on this…. Mike is apparently Micheal Jordan.
Themes of ridicule include
* accomplishments of LeBron (especially the school),
* Twittler's ability to get a name right (both on this tweet AND calling out the wrong name of the Ohio politician he's endorsing in a rally today),
* Trump's previous tweets supporting LeBron (back when he was playing in Florida),
* the size of the two men's hands, and
* relative growth of funds they inherited to what they have now.
News from the Sooner State………..

I'm relieved to hear that at least he is a good, God-fearing Christian. No word on the pony's religious beliefs.
I'm sure it is just a coincidence but didn't Trump-Pence receive something like 70% of the vote in Oklahoma?
One of the best Oklahoma laws still on the books: (it makes one wonder just how big a problem it was before they had to make a law?) It doesn’t appear this boy can be prosecuted under this law given the pony’s hind legs weren’t in his boots.
I'm inexperienced… What sort of drug might be involved to make someone suddenly attracted to a miniature pony? Asking for a friend.
The Pony Whisperer……
Isn't Ketamine an animal tranquilizer?
Maybe this? https://www.drugs.com/illicit/rohypnol.html
I just feel bad for the pony…"nice Christian boy" …not.
But was the pony a boy or a girl?
if he was screwing a boy pony, then he violated Leviticus.
what's the age of consent for a pony?
Now that is THE question in the eyes of the christian conservatives.
I still think this is what happens if you do too much Ketamine with Mountain Dew and Cialis.
We've all seen the graph comparing the growth of deficits and the national debt between Democratic and Republican administrations ('Pubs have us beat hands down on blowing massive wads of taxpayer cash out their asses into the welcoming arms of their wealthy supporters).
Here's another one that shows a high correlation in another category. Why am I not surprised?
If only Andrew Carnegie was here…
Well, knock me over with a feather! Cynthia Coffman is the first and only Republican AG to join her Democratic counterparts in suing the Trump administration over 3-D printed guns.
Between Brauchler's support for the "Red Flag" bill and this new development, I can only think that Colorado's Purple to Blue status is finally influencing our Republican officials to take some commonsense steps towards slowing down preventable gun violence.
While 3-D printed guns aren't particularly reliable or durable, they only need to be used once to achieve the perverse goals of a whacko or terrorist who otherwise would be stopped by normal security safeguards if they tried to use a standard weapon.
Doug Bruce Ruined Colorado is a video interview piece by Mike Rubens, featured on the Samantha Bee show last March. I missed this classic the first time. Cameos by Hick, Donna Lynne, Carol Hedges, and of course, the cranky Marshmallow Man himself, Doug Bruce.
Some gems: "Martin Luther King and I are both (belch) freedom fighters."
“You are a slave to the government.”
Talking about infrastructure: “We don’t share it. What you’re talking about are communal, the derivation of which is commune, which is communism.” (Meaningful smirk).
Offered a hug, Bruce responds: “I wasn’t aware that this procedure was going to involve a homosexual encounter.”
