And when you stink, as Trump does, you are busy stinking all the time.  Stay upwind, America!  Help is on the way.

New polling looks bad for the Republicans. Jennifer Rubin at WaPo sums it up:

In sum, if you are a Democrat running for the House you’ve got some big advantages. Go after Trump for being weak on Russia and Republicans for trying to take away health care; make sure women voters understand the stakes on abortion and health care; stick up for law enforcement; and offer yourself as a check against an out-of-control president. Don’t be shy about hitting the tax bill as a give-away to the rich. And wouldn’t you know it? That’s pretty much what Democrats around the country are saying.

    Jordan announces bid for Speaker

First official act will be to install new mirrors in the locker room at the House gym.

"Gym" Jordan's chances of being Speaker are limited.

It won't happen before the end of the session — can't imagine the Republicans having ANOTHER coup before the November elections.

The likelihood of Republicans having a majority in the next session seems to be diminishing.

Even if they have a majority, Jordan's coalition/support is about 40 members. Even the Republican Caucus doesn't want to go to the conservative crazy side.  [And would members be willing to depend on the fund raising ability of such a Speaker?]

Looks as though Mueller's team is pursuing the case of obstruction of justice.  If he can make a compelling case, then it becomes a matter of does he indict, or present to Congress for action?

Giuliani is a broken record, of course — "Nothing to see here folks, move along"

David Leonhardt of the New York Times adds:

For anyone trying to follow this story, I’d offer one overarching tip: You should put zero weight on the claims made by Trump and his team, including Rudy Giuliani. They have shown that they’re willing to lie whenever it suits their cause. Giuliani’s earlier description of the Cohen-Trump tape — from just six days ago — now appears laughably inaccurate.

I am not saying that Trump and Giuliani are always lying. When the truth helps them, they speak it. But the mere fact that they make a claim shouldn’t alter anyone’s judgment about its likely veracity.

Related, from The Washington Post: “The government has seized more than 100 recordings that Cohen made of his conversations with people discussing matters that could relate to Trump and his businesses and with Trump himself talking.”

Has anyone asked Mike Coffman how that DACA Dreamers legislation is coming along? The vote promised to him and others before the summer "district work period" begins?

Thanks for sharing, skinny.  Veronica has been raising this issue for a while now.  I'm in DC this week and ran into a couple marijuana folks who have convinced me that Veronica's fears have some authenticity.  I hope our Senators will stand firm in conference and not let the marijuana community erode the McConnell language as it exists now (which keeps CBD as a legitimate, non-scheduled co-product of the hemp plant).
