Victor Mitchell Pulling No Punches with Stapleton Ads

Last week, Republican gubernatorial candidate Victor Mitchell released a television advertisement that hit hard at fellow Republican candidate Walker Stapleton over the latter’s ties to the Bush family and his high-society East Coast roots.

With ballots dropping in the mail today and less than three weeks to go until the Primary Election, Mitchell is again targeting Stapleton with a new round of television and radio advertisements that begin running today. Here’s the new TV spot, which also includes hits about Stapleton’s false advertising and his habit of failing to show up for work on a regular basis:

Mitchell’s new TV ad also includes two different clips of what we’ll call “Gesticulating Walker” — which was an old habit of making exaggerated gestures in front of a camera that invoked the likes of Colorado used-car salesman “Dealin’ Doug”:

Also beginning its run on radio today is this new 60-second spot from Mitchell that includes many of the same attacks — including new revelations that Stapleton failed to disclose required information about income from a ‘blind trust’:

What is Walker Stapleton NOT telling us? Stapleton claims he’s a Trump guy, but Stapleton’s a Bush cousin, taking big bucks from the Trump-hating Bush family network. How does THAT work?

Look at Stapleton’s record: Denver TV stations say that Stapleton’s ad claim of Trump support is false. Stapleton conveniently forgot to file his legally-required ‘blind trust’ disclosure. Then, Stapleton doesn’t even show up for half of his state job. Typical.

You can listen to the full radio ad below…
