  • by: Colorado Pols

We forgot to post this when we first got it last week, so here goes: Paul Fiorino, the dancing gubernatorial candidate, is looking for a good Lieutenant Governor candidate.

It could be you!

Here’s the press release:

Independent, unaffiliated, nonpartisan candidate Paul Noel Fiorino for Colorado?Governor 2006, is searching?for the best?running mate?to serve as his Lieutenant. A Statewide search is now accepting suggestions and nominations, with an emphasis on Colorado’s Community Service Activities, Volunteerism, Indian Affairs, Aerospace and Education, among others. This dynamic position is a nonpartisan opportunity.

  1. Obviously, the dancing candidate should pick Ginger Rogers as the lt. gov.  She famously said “A woman can do anything a man can do, but she can do it backwards and in high heels.”

  2. Actually, Colorado has Air Force Space Command, NORAD, and, wait, let’s see, I know I’m forgetting something… Oh yeah!  Lockheed Martin, Ball Aerospace, two of the three US satellite imagery companies, and many, many others.  Aerospace is one of Colorado’s top industries.

Tang, maybe someone freeze-dried your brain?

  3. Denver Post code of ethics:

We should be honest in carrying out all of our work. We should clearly identify ourselves in all situations.

If deception might be necessary to obtain critical information, it must be approved in advance by The Editor or Managing Editor/News. The information sought must be vital to the public interest and all other approaches to obtaining the same information without using deception must be exhausted.
