Huffington Post reports from Colorado Springs this past weekend:

Former President George W. Bush was filmed dancing up a storm at nephew Pierce Bush’s wedding in Colorado Springs over the weekend.

Bush, 71, can be seen bobbing his head as he boogies with the bride, Sarahbeth Melton, to the 1984 song, “You Spin Me Round (Like A Record).”

…Pierce’s dad is Neil Bush, brother of the dancing former president and the fourth of ex-president George H.W. Bush’s six children.

He’s not in any of the clips we’ve seen, but we assume former President George W. Bush’s hip young cousin Walker Stapleton was on hand to bust his own moves:

Though you can see why they didn’t make the cut for prime time.

And yes, Denver natives, happy groom Pierce Bush’s dad is the same Neil Bush who was on the board of the infamous Silverado Savings and Loan in Denver during the S&L crisis of the late 1980s. Neil Bush voted to approve somewhere around $100 million in loans to business partners of his that nobody intended to repay, and when Silverado folded just a few years after Neil joined the board the federal government bailed out the joint to the tune of $1.6 billion-with-a-b in 1990 dollars. If Neil’s Dad hadn’t been vice president/president, Pierce might have been visiting his father growing up in Club Fed.

Gosh, we just killed that mood deader than dead didn’t we? Sorry party people.
