Wil Armstrong's Letter to Voters

  •
  • by: ArmstrongforCongress

(And Wil makes 3 out of 4 – promoted by DavidThi808)

Dear Fellow Republican:

With about a week before the Republican Primary Election to replace retiring Congressman Tancredo, I wanted to write you a letter and ask for your vote.

I need your vote to help revitalize and restore our conservative principles in Washington and to get Congress back on track. I need your vote to send a career businessman to Congress to help change the way Congress does business.

The latest polls show that this race is a dead heat between my main competitor and me. It’s going to be a photo finish, but the good news is our campaign is surging. The momentum is on our side.

You see, I believe we need more real-world experience in Congress… not more career politicians. We’re not lacking political experience in Washington.

Look at what political experience has gotten us:

•           Gas prices that are breaking the family budget;

•           A Congress that won’t secure our borders;

•           Runaway federal spending that’s leaving our children a legacy of debt;

•           Earmarks that are corrupting both political parties; and,

•           A tax code that’s hurting America’s prosperity and future.

Congress is broken. What we need to fix it is more real-world business experience.

I imagine a Congress with more doctors, ranchers, teachers, and small businessmen and women… citizen legislators who are more interested in getting the important work done for       our conservative principles than simply going from one political job to the next.

We can do better!

I am very grateful for the more than 6000 people (a record in Colorado) who signed my petition to put me on the ballot. We’ve had more than 350 volunteers active in our campaign. Why?

Because people are tired of politics as usual and career politicians who have lost their way.

Every day, we have more people walking neighborhoods, talking to their friends, making phone calls, putting up yard signs, and emailing their contacts…. all to help me get elected to Congress.

I’m proud to have received the endorsements of Governor Mitt Romney, US Senator Wayne Allard, former Governor Bill Owens, and our Attorney General John Suthers. These leaders know that times have changed, that our country and party needs new leadership, and that sending more real-world experience to Congress matters.

As your next Congressman, I will bring my real-world business experience to Washington and help frame long-term, strategic energy policies that will help bring down the price of gas. I will confront the big-spenders in Washington and will fight to curb runaway spending. I will work to end pork barrel spending and earmarks.

My priorities will include tough policies to insure a safe and secure America:  securing our borders, enforcing our existing immigration laws, and opposing amnesty or other rewards for illegal activities. I will strongly support our military and will fund the work of our sons and daughters who serve our country in the military with such great honor.

I will work to keep Colorado special. I will promote our family values including life and traditional marriage. I will champion the Second Amendment and will support the constitutional right that gives all law-abiding citizens the right to buy and carry guns. I will fight to preserve our quality of life through good stewardship of our resources including water and our forests.

Help me make sure we have more career business leaders in Washington – and not more career politicians. I need your vote.

Please keep Kristy, me, and our kids — and all of us who are running for office — in your thoughts and prayers as we enter the final days of this election.

With best regards,

Wil Armstrong
