► After getting hammered by media outlets across the country on Friday, Congressional Republicans finally came to their senses and decided to send someone from GOP leadership to Selma, Alabama for the 50th anniversary of the civil rights movement. We totally (coincidentally) called it for Rep. Kevin McCarthy.

► State Sen. Larry Crowder (R-Alamosa) is getting an earful from constituents for voting with Republicans to make drastic changes to PERA.

► Senator Michael Bennet (D-Denver) kicked off his 2016 re-election campaign yesterday, and was joined by protestors upset at his vote to override President Obama’s veto of the Keystone Pipeline.

► Colorado House Speaker Dickey Lee Hullinghorst says that construction defects legislation that would benefit developers is a “non-starter.”

► Federal legislation dealing with immigration reform looks dead — for now — after Congressional Republicans spent the last few weeks shooting feet over funding for the Department of Homeland Security. Congressman Mike Coffman (R-Aurora) likely approves and disapproves.
