Over and over both Republicans and Democrats are saying “we need shared sacrifice”. But the problem is that the poor have been sacrificing for the past 20 years, being “trickled” down on and having their wages and benefits slowly eroded by corporate greed. At some point, can we not acknowledge that the poor have sacrified enough. As wages have stayed constant or decreased, that rich people have exponentially become richer and richer. There is a reason why “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous” isn’t still on TV. It’s because the rich people want poor people to believe that the rich are living on the edge just like they are. But it simply isn’t true. Democrats — stop talking about shared sacrifice. We have already done our sacrificing. It’s time for someone else to start sacrificing!!
