Republican candidates Ken Buck, Dan Maes and Tom Tancredo are trying to avoid talking about social issues this year. Voters just don’t want to talk about abortion, gay marriage and Big Government at your death bed.
But the proponents of Amendment 62, otherwise known as the ‘personhood’ amendment, are trying to not only ban abortion in Colorado but also effectively ban contraception.
As a Republican and fiscal conservative, I want Buck and Tancredo to win. But can they if they back Amendment 62? Maes, Tancredo, and, I think, Buck do back the amendment that would put their women and yours “in their place.”
How many percentage points are they likely to lose or gain as voters realize their Big Government agendas on social issues?
