Why the Vapid Beauty Queen will lose:

  •
  • by: roll the idiots

Or, as a clandestine lapel sticker at the State  Republican Convention said, why “McJane is Failin”…

1. She has no credibility to go after Ken Buck.

2. Her campaign manager has made the race about HIM instead of HER.

3. She’s never actually been “in the fight” with us Conservatives (ala Schaffer/Coors, Holtzman/Beauprez, Armstrong/Coffman, Crank/Lamborn, etc.)

4. She comes off as a vapid, snarky, bitter second-wife who’s looking to keep her friends and family employed.

Explanations after the jump.

1.  I’m no rocket scientist.  But I WANT a District Attorney’s budget to increase in tough times.  More to the point – I want those illegal immigrants rounded up and deported.  Need my cash to help run those raids and export criminals?  You got it.

In Penry’s latest missive (see also number two), he defends Jane’s “pro-C & D” positions by attacking Buck for the resulting budgetary increases.  Huh? Those Karl Rove-ian counter punches only work when Jane is secure in her own stance.  And she ‘aint.

2.  Am I the only one who recently got a fundraising letter from Norton with a letter from Josh Penry in it?  When was the last time a REAL campaign manager made the story – or in this case, campaign – about themselves (vs. The Candidate) and actually won?

Voters don’t care why Josh decided to cash it in and go work for the squish.  We know he did it for the same reason everyone else on that campaign did: for the job.  We idealists prefer to NOT know who the man behind the curtain is.  And if we really liked Josh that much, we would have backed him when he was running for Governor.  But that didn’t work out, either.

3.  Jane backed C & D.  She backed Coors. Beauprez. Crank. Yes – she gave a light-handed endorsement to Wil Armstrong, but she was never there with us volunteering, rallying, and fund-raising.  Heck… she was with McCain because of Charlie and Judy but when the cash left the campaign, she started making endorsement deals with Mitt.  Yes, I remember that.  And when McCain was the guy – she stepped forward thinking folks would believe she had actually been there through thick and thin.

4.  It takes more than witty one-liners and half-truth talking points to convince me these days.  I’ve been HADDUPED – and LIED TO one too-many times.  I don’t trust Jane any more than I trust Michael Bennet.

Tell me HOW she will be able to pull Obama’s health-care programs “out by the roots” or WHAT she did, as a government appointee, to encourage free enterprise and defend my personal freedoms.  Oh – that’s right – nothing.  She has been appointed to every position she has ever had because of her family name and DC connections. And her husband has been a leader in the cabal for over two decades.  I’m done with candidates like Jane who think they can wink, nod, and smile their way into my living room.  And that goes back to argument number one.

Buck will win the nomination and if fundraising can keep up (and Jane’s connections roll over to Buck in the General as easily as she’s rolled over Conservatives), it’ll be time to welcome a District Attorney to the U.S. Senate come November.
