Diggs Brown Digs Scott Brown

Congressional candidate Diggs Brown announced on Saturday that his campaign headquarters would be temporarily converted to a volunteer phone bank on behalf of Scott Brown, the Republican candidate for Senate in Massachusetts on Monday…

Volunteers are asked to bring Internet-ready laptops and cell phones, if possible, but the campaign will also supply equipment as needed. The phone bank will run from 3 p.m.-6 p.m. on Monday.

Scott Brown will face Democrat Martha Coakley in a special election in Massachusetts on Tuesday for the Senate seat formerly held by Ted Kennedy. Polls have shown Brown emerging from a double-digit deficit earlier in the campaign to catch up with Coakley.

Probably as good a use for Diggs Brown’s campaign office as working on his own underperforming campaign–anybody know how much Brown raised last quarter? Could you fit it in your pocket in small bills? On the other hand, Diggs Brown would probably mind less a little confusion between himself and center-of-attention Scott Brown than, for example, Gale and Jane Norton (no $*&%# relation, thank you very much).
