UPDATE #3: Statement from NARAL Pro Choice Colorado:
This is a crisis and the threat to safe, legal abortion in Colorado and around the country is very real. This is why Colorado must elect a pro-choice Governor, and why our Senators must take action now to stop any anti-choice Supreme Court nominee.
President Trump has said he will only nominate Justices who will overturn Roe. That is not only unacceptable, it is an insult to Coloradans and our pro-choice values. Whether Democrat, Republican, or Unaffiliated, Colorado voters overwhelmingly support the right to choose and have said so repeatedly at the ballot box.
US Senators Gardner and Bennet must not just oppose, but actively work to block any Supreme Court nominee who will overturn Roe v. Wade and the Constitutional right to choose abortion. This threat further underscores the need to protect Colorado laws with a pro-choice Governor and a pro-choice House and Senate, making our November elections even more critical.
