    Pence Creates PAC ahead of 2018, 2020 Elections

    Vice President Mike Pence is launching his own PAC — the "Great America Committee" — to aid his own future political interests, including helping Republican candidates ahead of the 2018 midterms.

    The group, which filed paperwork with the FEC on Wednesday, will be able to use the funds to cover the costs of the vice president's travels on Air Force Two to campaign on behalf of GOP candidates across the country.

    This is the first time a sitting vice president has formed such a separate political arm. Former administration officials have used either party or campaign funds to cover travel costs.

  5. Senate investigators: Flynn won't honor subpoena

    Retired Gen. Michael Flynn will not cooperate with the Senate intelligence committee's subpoena request for documents regarding the former national security adviser's interactions with Russian officials.

    "Gen. Flynn's lawyers said he would not honor the subpoena, and that's not a surprise to the committee, but we'll figure out on Gen. Flynn what the next step, if any, is," committee chairman Richard Burr, a North Carolina Republican, told reporters Thursday morning.

We should not take our eyes off Health Care Reform.  Under the theory that tax cuts for the wealthy informs everything about the GOP, they will do all they can to pass a bill that guts Medicaid in order to get rid of the Obamacare taxes that hit only the wealthy.  Also, passage of the GOP health care bill apparently opens the door for tax "reform" that will also benefit, hmmm, the wealthy. I wouldn't bet anything that they are competent to do this, but they will surely try.

        As investigators circled Flynn, he got a message from Trump: Stay strong

        Late last month, fired National Security Adviser Michael Flynn — under investigation by federal prosecutors, with his lawyer seeking immunity for him to testify to Congress — met with a small group of loyalists at a restaurant in the northern Virginia suburbs.

        Saddled with steep legal bills, Flynn wanted to reconnect with old friends and talk about potential future business opportunities. But one overriding question among those present were his views on the president who had fired him from his national security advisor post.

        Flynn left little doubt about the answer.  Not only did he remain loyal to President Trump; he indicated that he and the president were still in communication. “I just got a message from the president to stay strong,” Flynn said after the meal was over, according to two sources who are close to Flynn and are familiar with the conversation, which took place on April 25.
