Feminist totalitarians show their true hard left colors

  • by: Another skeptic

Jonah Goldberg, columnist for the LA Times, National Review Onlline editor at large and author of Liberal-Fascism (www.liberal-fascism.com) mocks the liberal fascist feminists as the totalitarians they are:

Gloria Steinem, the grand mufti of feminism, issued a fatwa anathematizing Palin. A National Organization for Women spokeswoman proclaimed Palin more of a man than a woman. Wendy Doniger, a feminist academic at the University of Chicago, writes of Palin in Newsweek: “Her greatest hypocrisy is in her pretense that she is a woman.”

It’s funny. The left has been whining about having their patriotism questioned for so long it feels like they started griping in the Mesozoic era. Feminists have argued for decades that womanhood is an existential and metaphysical state of enlightenment. But they have no problem questioning whether women they hate are really women at all.

Since we know from basic science that Palin is a woman – she’s had five kids, for starters – it’s clear that these ideological thugs aren’t talking about actual, you know, facts. They’re doing what people of totalitarian mind-sets always do: bully heretics, demonize enemies, whip the troops into line.

LInk is here.

  1. But they don’t have any position of influence or authority in the government or Democratic party. On the Republican side however, you put some of your bozos in charge of the government.

As to your source, couldn’t you find someone credible instead of Jonah Goldberg?

      1. .

and serious folks don’t quote him, even on right-leaning blogs.

You don’t see liberals here quoting Ariana Huffington or Air America radio.

I think you are mixing up entertainment with reasoned argument.

        ……

        Oops.  I just got it!

You intended to spoof entertainment as information.

        Good one!

You are too subtle for David to catch the humor.

        .

    1. Is the idea credible?

      Does this happen?

Did Gloria Steinem, an often quoted founding feminist, really say that.

OK. now I have the information to conclude. Some of the leadership of the feminist movement is more concerned about advancing leftist ideology than actually promoting women who have a shot a breaking a much ballyhooed glass ceiling.  I think that is called blatant hypocrisy.

      1. Yes there are all these bozos out on the lunatic fringe – Ward Churchill, Gloria Steinem, etc. But they are not part of any credible group within the Democratic party.

This is like us claiming that something said by John Birchers represents the Republican party.

          1. George H.W. Bush is credited with resurrecting the Texas GOP precisely by holding his moderate nose and bringing the Birchers into the fold, and percolating that up through the national party giving us the Reagan Revolution. It was for that reason that Reagan picked Bush, whom he hated viscerally, as his VP candidate. Reagan and Bush weren’t even friendly until after the 1998 election.

John Birchers have as much power in the GOP as the religious right.
