Blackwater wins 39 federal contracts set-aside for small businesses.

.

My Colorado small business is heavily dependent on federal contracts.

The federal Government is supposed to set-aside at least 23% of all contracts for small businesses.

I just learned

http://www.sba.gov/IG/Blackwat…

that Blackwater, the Mercenary outfit that I’ve battled in federal court, and whose employees threatened my life for instigating that court case,

holds itself out to be a small business.

How ?

Well, those Mercs that work for them aren’t employees, after all.  They are Independent Contractors.

Does this comment belong here ?  Colorado politics ? Maybe not, but this is where I thought to vent.  Sorry. Maybe I should ask Ari to add it to the morning news summary.

  1. But I argue that since you run a small local business, this information is useful to anyone on this site who runs or is affiliated with small businesses.

Blackwater claims to be getting out of the gun-for-hire business, so they need to branch out, like a mercenary Wal-Mart. One stop contracting.

Since they’re contractors, ask them to come paint your garage.
