In the Democrats Work Coats and Cans straw poll, one can of food donated to CD2 charities is worth a vote and one donated coat is worth five votes.
Jared Polis has stepped out to an early lead! What does it mean? What does it predict? You tell us. What it means to us is that Democrats donated over 450 lbs. of food and over 100 coats to the needy of Congressional District 2. Keep it up guys! Two more rounds to go.

It was a cold and rainy day in Broomfield, but CD2 Democrats braved the weather to cast votes in the Democrats Work straw poll.
Jared Polis and Will Shafroth showed up personally to drop off donations, and staffers from Joan’s campaign were on hand as well.
SD-23 candidate Joe Whitcomb and his wife (pictured), Broomfield council candidate Judy Enderle, and even representatives of Udall for Colorado were on hand with donations.
The next round will be in Boulder County in November.

A supporter of Joan Fitz-Gerald just stopped by the Democrats Work HQ with a box of cans and a stack of coats.
The unofficial tally will add another 26 cans and 4 coats to Joan’s total, moving her just barely ahead of Will.
(The official tally will be included with the votes from the Boulder voting round, where we will be taking a shift serving meals to the folks at an area charity.)
