The Aaron Harber Show- Dan Glickman, President and CEO of the Motion Picture Association of America

  • by: tahs

Join Aaron this Tuesday September 25th at 8pm or Wednesday September 26th at 5pm to listen to Dan Glickman, President and Ceo of The  Motion Picture Association of America and former Secretary of Agriculture and former Congressman speak on a show entitled “Rating the Movies.”

Glickman and Harber will discuss the current movie rating system in this country, whether or not it is effective, and how it has evolved with time and culture.  The two also discuss product placement and it’s role in the industry, as well as media piracy.  Glickman expresses a great deal of concern about theft in the entertainment industry and the influence on both the American economy, as well as on the creativity of our culture, with an incresing lack of regard for intellectual propery rights.

  1. Hope you checked out the film “This Film Is Not Yet Rated” before speaking with Glickman. It offers a funny — perhaps, offensive, for some — explanation of the current movie rating system:
