Lakewood Disgrace

While the mayoral race in Lakewood may not get a lot of play here on Colorado Pols, I thought I had to throw my two-cents worth in about the slowly heating battle between Councilman Bob Murphy and community activist Rita Bertolli.

While I haven’t made up my mind of who to vote for just yet, it seems that Murphy has picked up the endorsement of one Deanna Hanna.  Isn’t she the disgraced Senator that has a hard time keeping her mouth shut?  Isn’t she a symbol of all that is wrong with politics?  Isn’t she a has-been?  Why would Murphy proudly slap her name on his website? Hmmm…

I don’t know much about Bertolli just yet, but if slime like Deanna Hanna supports Murphy, I think it’s a safe bet he’s a crook too.  Interestingly, other state officials that DO HAVE integrity have also endorsed Murphy.  Do Representative Andy Kerr and Senator Betty Boyd know that their names are boldly displayed on Murphy’s website next to that of Hanna’s?  I bet they’re embarrassed – or at least they ought to be.
