Last week two Colorado state senators, Ken Gordon and Ron Tupa, announced they would sponsor a resolution condemning the escalation in Iraq, much as state legislators have already done in VT, MD, and IA. So far as I can tell, looking on this site and elsewhere, this news was limited to a short blurb in the Rocky.
What’s needed is a surge of people speaking out in support of this proposed resolution. Such an anti-war statement from a “purple” state like ours could not help but be heard in Washington, especially by our Reps and Sens. But so far: silence, which speaks volumes.
