Yesterday the Rocky reported:
Anti-war resolution in the works at Capitol
DENVER, Feb. 23 (RMN): Two state lawmakers said Thursday they oppose President Bush’s plan to increase troops in Iraq and hope to introduce an anti-war resolution within a couple of weeks. Democratic state Sens. Ken Gordon, of Denver, and Ron Tupa, of Boulder, are sponsors of the resolution.
This follows similar resolutions adopted this month in Vermont, Iowa, and Maryland.
If you agree, suggest you say so in email to Sens. Gordon (ken@kengordon.com) and Tupa (ron.tupa.senate@state.co.us), and to your own state senator, to get that resolution passed. Ditto to House members.
While you’re at it, Sens. Salazar and Allard could use a nudge on repealing the Iraq war powers resolution!

Publicity hungry politicians who put their careers ahead of the country are showing the Democrats’ true colors—-the White Flag of surrender to the terrorists.
For shame.
Who drove planes into the twin towers? Not the Iraqi’s. Where is Osama Bin Laden? Not in Iraq. Why did Bush order the military into Iraq? Not because there were terrorists there. On and on. What part of the truth don’t you get?
It is just amazing how many people forget why we invaded Iraq, and don’t comprehend it’s place in the war on Islamic terrorism.
AFTER we invaded.
I’m sure you’ll dispute that, and I can counter it, but this particular merry-go-round of debate makes me dizzy.
Personally I believe we need to keep fighting til we achieve stability and security in Iraq but I also believe that we missed our opportunity to achieve those ends by not sending many more troops within the first year.
More troops needed in the beginning, need to achieve stability now, debate makes me dizzy. Got any Dramamine?
