he’ll retire with his presidential run? I would have thought he would just hold onto his seat knowing he doesn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell at winning nationally.
At the last minute, he’ll bail and run for re-election, pissing off a hell of a lot of Republicans who are running for his C.D. 6 seat. He’ll probably lose the primary to Wiens or Harvey……
Lying, cheating, money laundering?
and what I know about them comes from this blog, so take it for what it’s worth… But here are some facts:
One of the brothers managed Doug Lamborn’s campaign.
The other is chief (or otherwise in important leadership function) of the Colorado Christian Coalition.
The CCC sent out mailers to Repubs in CD5 just before the primary claiming that Crank and Rivera (I believe – someone correct me if I’m wrong) were part of the Great Gay Agenda.
Now here’s the speculation:
Given that they are brothers it’s not unreasonable to think that they did some coordinating. All they’d have to do is go out to dinner and voila! Plausible denial! “Hey, no illegal coordination going on here, just two bro’s catching up…” Something that would be much fishier the head of CCC and the director of Lamborn’s campaign weren’t related at all but could somehow be shown to be in contact with one another.
Back to reality:
None other than Joel Hefley condemned Lamborn for running a “sleazy” campaign – his word. This condemnation has given anyone who opposes Lamborn – or either Hotaling – the word they can use to negatively describe them.
There may be a pop quiz so I hope you took notes…
