Colorado Polster of the Year: The Runoff

  • by: Colorado Pols

(The polls close today at 3:00 p.m., so finish your ballot and unhang those chads. – promoted by Colorado Pols)

The votes are in from BALLOT ONE and BALLOT TWO, and now it’s time for the runoff for the mythical title of The 2006 Colorado Polster of the Year!.

To create the runoff ballot, we took the top 10 overall vote-getters and put them together.

*OOPS! We accidentally put Voyageur on here twice – so we only included the top 9 vote-getters instead. That’s what we get for letting the Denver Election Commission run the Polster of the Year vote.

Who is the Colorado Polster of the YEAR?

  1. LHGQ was more side-splittingly funny but his absense since the election can’t be overlooked. Besides, OQD is a real blogger who has more than just funny stuff to say. Of course if that alone were my criterion I’d have voted for Phoenix Rising, but humor is a factor so… My vote for One Queer Dude.

    Who else is with me?

    1. It was tough though, some of my favorite bloggers are on this list, but OQD makes me laugh, has inside info, and is one step away from being a Log Cabin R. He can’t marry, but by God, he can be the best Gawl Darn Blogger of the Year!

(Sybil made the final cut and I didn’t?  This is a cruel cruel site….)

  2. when you have only one person overseeing elections at the same time they are busy with several other things….like a clerk and recorder.

    VOTE NO ON 1A

  3. El Paso County Delegation at Colorado Pols. You just didn’t bother to court the southern vote. Besides, with colojason moving, that reduces the Democratic bias to Colorado Pols 🙂

  4. LHGQ was great, but where where is he now that we need him?  Was he a one-trick pony?

Maybe he’s off getting back the State’s computer, or more important, the key-card to the parking gate at the State Capitol.  Or maybe not.

Queerdude, in contrast, has been with us through thick and thin.  So has Gecko for that matter, like a splinter under your fingernail, but he didn’t make the cut.  Damned Libruls.

I had to vote for Queerdude.  Tough choice, but he earned it.
