Joe B is doing well.High energy, Got the tough room cheering for him many times. Yes, he occasionally stutters. That will be all that Fox News reports on.
I've heard the occasional heckler, but so far, they're not getting any traction.
Bobo has her hair up, trying to look dignified. Not that easy when sitting next to "Giggity" Gaetz. She and MTG are not speaking, at least not on camera.
I am proud of all the Congressmembers iin white as a visual for supporting reproductive rights.

Holy shit. Senator Katie Britt is way over-acting. It's pure emotion, How many times was a trafficked twelve year old raped, and did the President actually sign off on that?

The sad thing (or maybe the scary thing) is that Katie Britt's sad-angry-smiling emotional mommy approach was probably a bullseye with the GOP's intended demographic. Despite being deeply creepy and weird to everyone else.
I've seen multiple comments on other forums that Britt's talking style is a southern fundamentalist thing. As in, you can be a flipping United States Senator or a Supreme Court Justice, but you have to do this Stepford Wife style of talking and presentation to show that you are in your correct cultural place and role.

I'd suggest you offer some grace here. He was responding to nut job MTG's characterization. While she pretends she's sad it's 'crickets' from that loon when school children are gunned down. I'm glad he engaged her, even though inperfectly for some.

Yeah I hear you, but to me it's just indicative of who the man is. I would never call someone an "illegal" even if I was flustered or caught off guard. So to me it just shows what he really thinks about immigration, its challenges, and its solutions.

I’d equate it more to things that may occasionally fall from my own fathers’s mouth. He doesn’t have a mean bone in his body but sometimes the word/words just fall out. Not with malice but from years of conditioning or living in a world where unkind words as we think of them today were the norm.

I hear that. I also think this narrative has gotten worse. Look up the Bush vs Reagan debates on immigration and you will see what I mean. I also think Biden is a racist so I guess I am biased.
It was fun to watch Mike Johnson try to enact "gravitas", and just looks constipated and uncomfortable. Huffpost has a nice collection.
Trump needs to give him scowl lessons. He came across as a little kid sitting at the adults table trying to look serious.
