Tim-tam is not so bad. I know…how about, he stays and you go away.? Yeah…that would work.

Still not paying the Biden inflation tax?

Isn’t it amazing these morans will buy GQP outrage over gas prices, but then excuse them for keeping the minimum wage at $7.25 instead of $15, insulin at $1,200 instead of $35 and paid parental leave at 0 weeks instead of 12? Giving billionaires a $1.5 trillion tax break whilst promoting a tax hike on the middle class and eliminating SSI?

My great-great grandchildren will be reading about this cult.

            Truly, Michael.

I have been wasting a little time (while I recuperate from a minor ailment) butting heads with some of the MAGAts on Facebook. The thing I notice that seems pervasive is the level to which they believe stuff about how WE (liberal, progressive, Demoncrat,…AKA anyone who challenges their assumptions) think.

They invariably ascribe THEIR motivations to us. While fetching drinking water yesterday, some right wing nutcase invited himself to shower us with his complaints. The city shut off his water…after significant cussing, when he got to, “let’s go Brandon”, we just turned and got in the car. Biden had something to do with it?

I don’t see how reasonably intelligent people fall for all that bullshit…but they do. The right wing media has so thoroughly convinced the MAGAts of an alternate reality, educating them seems almost impossible. A pity…but not. 🙄

You know what they say: you get the tim-tam you need, not the tim-tam you deserve.

The congressional leadership of Ambassador Salazar and Mark Udall lives on in rural America:

Opinion: Now 20 years old, the farm bill energy title has a bright future

Twenty years ago when the original energy title programs were developed,  over-reliance on imported oil and concerns about environmental health were emerging as national challenges. Today, energy security and climate change have become the most urgent issues facing the country. Farmers and rural businesses still have a vital role to play in addressing these challenges – while continuing to provide nutrition, preserve land and other natural resources, and drive economic growth for rural communities.

On the 20th anniversary of the original Farm Bill energy title, there’s good reason to look forward to its future.

Energy security. What planet 🌎 do you live on? We had it and you voted to give it away.

Again.  If you want to help the disadvantage.  Maybe look in the mirror.  That person in the mirror needs a lot of help dealing with his chosen disadvantage.

      • MichaelBowman says:

Lulz.  I live on this planet

Have you forgotten that your electoral vote went to Biden?

      • Conserv. Head Banger says:

        “energy security…….we had it…….”

How so? During the Trump administration, the US still imported millions of barrels of oil per day. Then thanks to Trump’s mishandling of the virus and subsequent recession in 2020, there was a glut of oil.

Even now, energy companies sit on hundreds of thousands of acres of undeveloped leases here in the West alone, as they take advantage of higher prices per barrel and reward shareholders, including many pension funds. That’s capitalism and free market at work.

I’m not complaining. I benefit through mutual fund holdings, some of which then goes to charities. And, gas is relatively cheap here in Colorado. Yesterday, I paid $3.70-9/10 to fill the tank. Most I’ve paid is $3.99-9/10.

The Tina Peters virus apparently had variants. There's a good story about a Georgia elections supervisor in the Washington Post, but here's a snippet for those with no subscription:

A former elections supervisor in rural Coffee County, Ga., has told The Washington Post that she opened her offices to a businessman active in the election-denier movement to help investigate results she did not trust in the weeks after President Donald Trump’s 2020 defeat.

Trump had carried the conservative county by 40 points, but elections supervisor Misty Hampton said she remained suspicious of Joe Biden’s win in Georgia. Hampton made a video that went viral soon after the election, claiming to show that Dominion Voting System machines, the ones used in her county, could be manipulated. She said in interviews that she hoped the Georgia businessman who visited later, Scott Hall, and others who accompanied him could help identify vulnerabilities and prove “that this election was not done true and correct.”
