Instead, if the moderator and hosts stick to the plan of asking pre-selected questions, I suspect the questions will be almost exclusively about more local stuff and campaign mechanics.
But national security should be story #1. If they agree – then talk about everything else.
Between Bush/Cheney and Obama/Biden. The new guys succeed where the old guys failed and that’s just about everywhere – the economy, wall street reform, foreign policy, energy, health care and the list goes on and on.

Go after those who keep them supplied with bullets, smarter than trying to run them out of ammo by giving them lots of targets to shoot at.
