The guy’s staffers seem to think that since the Republican Party needs a new face, it’s only logical that the new face be an old, conservative, white, southern guy who moved here to play golf. That’s change you can believe in, a walking caricature of a Republican.

Tidwell’s been quite vocal about his intentions to run for the Senate since the middle of March. It’s not his fault no one cares.
Cleve Tidwell has the leadership and real world experience to win this race. Just wait a few months and watch as all the bloggers and commentators begin to change their tone about this fine candidate.

I think he’ll lose by a lesser margin. I think if he has the money to do it he may make it to the primary….but otherwise no.
Unless he decides to petition onto the ballot, there’s no way Tidwell clears the threshold to make the primary.
Nice to see all the intelligencia weighing in, but they all forget one simple thing, real conservatism wins every time. When we try to run the moderate race, we lose. Tidwell is the real conservative in this race. The non-lawyer, the non-politico, the real American success story, the American hero, the one that already has support in virtually all the diverse communities of Colorado, and the one with the most business (small, large, domestic and international) experience. Say whay you want, but weigh what you say, Colorado will take Cleve Tidwell through the primaries and on to beat Bennett in 2010.
