A former colleague encouraged me to go back and read some Molly Ivins … many choice gems, but one jumped out because of all the concern for "fairness" and "balance" in covering politics.
Ivins coined the nickname Shrub for GWB. My favorite quote, which I can't find now was in reference to some politician, "Everybody steps on their d!ck now and then but no one says you have to dance on it."
The wheels of justice turn slowly, but grind exceedingly fine.
