“About all I can say for the United States Senate is that it opens with a prayer and closes with an investigation.”

Colorado's SB 181 [additional public welfare protections regarding the conduct of oil and gas operations] forces cutbacks in fracking.
Frackers Prepare to Pull Back, Exacerbating a Slowdown in U.S. Oil Growth

"After pushing U.S. oil and natural-gas production to record levels, some shale companies plan to pump less.
The pullback is sharpest among the country’s largest natural-gas drillers.
But even more oil-focused shale companies are promising to rein in spending and forecasting slower growth. … all active in the Permian Basin in Texas and New Mexico, told investors last week they were contemplating holding next year’s spending around current levels."
Damned environmentalists….
I figured I might as well get the spin started for Cory and the Oily Boyz.
I'll help, Duke: Damn job-killing regulations.
Gee, I thought those cutbacks in energy production were coming mostly as a result of investors telling companies that it's time to begin showing some return on investment.
Who knew that new (and as of yet unpublished) standards in Colorado would be powerful enough to impact Texan oil & gas operations?
Here's hoping Texas is equally amenable to the Colorado leadership in health care insurance, abortion regulation, pre-school funding, and voting law.

Recall when Rudy broke up crime families in NYC? Looks like it was so he could help his own crime family take over. He and T***p go back a loooonnng way.
She's no Secretary of Transportation, Education, Interior or VA – but the grift is strong in this one.
I didn't realize Indiana was so…. you know, ..grifty.
Indiana has/had Pence, remember?
Indiana wasn't nearly as "grifty," as it is now, when I was growing up there. We actually had common sense centrists in both parties back then.
The Indiana Dems did give us Evan Bayh and mayor Pete. The GOP gave us Richard Mordock and the Pence family. One party can still find same centrists.
Some findings from a collaboration of the Cook Political Report and Kaiser Family Foundation called the "Blue Wall Voices Project."
Most discouraging finding, IMO … "Few Trump voters said they would not vote for President Trump if he endangered the constitution (1%)."
Four short paragraphs . . .
. . . but, toss in the most corrupt, self-interested, and playable idiot President ever imaginable, and you have a tome to rival The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire.
