New polling looks bad for the Republicans. Jennifer Rubin at WaPo sums it up:
Jordan announces bid for Speaker
First official act will be to install new mirrors in the locker room at the House gym.
"Gym" Jordan's chances of being Speaker are limited.
It won't happen before the end of the session — can't imagine the Republicans having ANOTHER coup before the November elections.
The likelihood of Republicans having a majority in the next session seems to be diminishing.
Even if they have a majority, Jordan's coalition/support is about 40 members. Even the Republican Caucus doesn't want to go to the conservative crazy side. [And would members be willing to depend on the fund raising ability of such a Speaker?]
Looks as though Mueller's team is pursuing the case of obstruction of justice. If he can make a compelling case, then it becomes a matter of does he indict, or present to Congress for action?
Giuliani is a broken record, of course — "Nothing to see here folks, move along"
David Leonhardt of the New York Times adds:
Has anyone asked Mike Coffman how that DACA Dreamers legislation is coming along? The vote promised to him and others before the summer "district work period" begins?

Thanks for sharing, skinny. Veronica has been raising this issue for a while now. I'm in DC this week and ran into a couple marijuana folks who have convinced me that Veronica's fears have some authenticity. I hope our Senators will stand firm in conference and not let the marijuana community erode the McConnell language as it exists now (which keeps CBD as a legitimate, non-scheduled co-product of the hemp plant).
