  1. DENVER — President Barack Obama will visit the Denver area next Tuesday for an official event, the White House said Wednesday.

White House officials did not immediately provide details on the type of event and whether it will be in Denver or a suburb.

    Source Denver’s channel 7

I suspect he’s not coming here for a GSA ribbon cutting.

    1. I have never seen that on any blogs.  Hmmm — sound it out and its just like you to invoke the racist stereotype trope of “Mammy”

there is no friggin’ end with your BS is there?

        1. Like Mallard Fillmore which, incidentally, hasn’t appeared in the Denver daily for a few days. Wonder why, not that I’m looking a gift horse in the mouth.

Like Nock, it’s not near enough the neighborhood of any facts to be satirical. It’s not funny or entertaining. Just very dumb, very small, very mean. Also like Nock, you don’t have to actually read it to know what it has to say on any subject. Just assume the usual mean spirited, fact impaired, hypocritical righty drivel with a whiff of bigotry, as if The Onion had created the perfect caricature righty dolt.

On the plus side for ArapG… Nock makes him look like an almost charming shill by comparison, almost being the operative word. You’re welcome, ArapG.

    1. The House was rather chatty, rude.

Glad Polis was concerned with elderly women’s property rights.

Face it folks, Fed tax rates and revenue should be reduced. States can build their own highways and bestow their own PORK.

    Only if you allow them.

I have been bribed every step of the way yet never have given in.

I refuse to accept money, gifts, position or power.

Stay strong my friends and tear down the leviathan!

  3. 9:30am

Speakers, music, musical comedy, meet your legislator, supportive organizations, voter registration, etc.

Spending all my time these days with women and their allies across Colorado planning our big march and rally, where we will clearly tell the Tea Party anti-woman contingent in this state what they can do with their “personhood” legislation and attacks on women’s access to health care.

    BOOYAH!

  4. Uh, no

Seventy percent of one-on-one interviews on the shows featured Republicans, according to the study. That’s 166 Republican guests to 70 Democrats. For the roundtable discussions, Republicans and/or conservatives made 282 appearances to 164 by Democrats and progressives.

women made up just 29 percent of the shows’ roundtable guests. Eighty-five percent of the guests were white, 11 percent were African American and 3 percent were Latino.

  5. W. Virginia GOP candidate in Senate race, Raese

I don’t want government telling me what I can do and what I can’t do because I’m an American.  But in Monongalia County you can’t smoke a cigarette, you can’t smoke a cigar, you can’t do anything.  And I oppose that because I believe in everybody’s individual freedoms and everybody’s individual rights to do what they want to do and I’m a conservative and that’s the way that goes.

But in Monongalia County now, I have to put a huge sticker on my buildings to say this is a smoke free environment.  This is brought to you by the government of Monongalia County.  Ok?

Remember Hitler used to put Star of David on everybody’s lapel, remember that?  Same thing.”

How many Jews do you suppose feel just as threatened by the no smoking in public places movement as by the old Nazi no Jews left alive movement?

As a Jewish boomer child I was taken to Synagogue every year during remembrance week from a very tender age to view the awful footage the Nazis took themselves of things like starved stick figure bodies being dumped into pits just because they were what I was.

We were told about the awful “medical” experiments conducted on twin children when we were just children, the surgeries without anesthesia and of course the starvation, forced labor, exposure, gas chambers and ovens.

No parent would subject a little kid to that kind of horror now but our greatest gen parents thought it was their duty to make sure we would know and never forget and, boy, did they ever do a bang up job. I can remember a few nightmares in which Nazis were chasing me. To date no nightmares involving smoke free environment stickers. What a moron.

    1. BC, you’ve shown such remarkable restraint is limiting your posts but it’s too bad you felt compelled to waste your self-imposed daily fix responding to the likes of Nock, Nock

But thanks, as always, for your insight & participation

    2. Today is Yom Hashoah – Holocaust Remembrance Day. Let us remember — the enemy is not Jews, or Gypsies, or Intellectuals, or Unionists or Gays, or Asians, or Germans, or people who look/ think/ act/ vote/ speak or love differently than we do. The Enemy is Ignorance, with leads to Fear, which leads to Hate. Support your public schools.

    3. The Holocaust involved the deliberate murder of about 11 million people, including 5.9 million Jews.  This dweeb can’t blow cigar smoke in my (asthamatic) face in a public building.  Which is worse?

I think I gotta go with the Yad Vashem view on this one.

  6. Holocaust Remembrance Day. 7. You posted a fine piece twice.  Nockworst posts things once that shouldn’t be posted at all.  On the average, that means our typical post is a thoughtful one posted once. 🙂
