News coming from the last-standing daily Denver newspaper is that its parent company, MediaNews Group, is erecting paywalls at newspapers it owns in five other states but has decided not to erect paywalls at the websites of its two Colorado papers.
There is no reason for the exception provided yet by CEO Dean Singleton.
Hearing that their mostly uninspiring online work product would remain free to readers, the Denver paper’s bloggers breathed a sigh of relief.
