    1. I'm praying over the recent weather events just as our Dear Leader is…..

Dear God, please wipe from the face of this earth the vile domains of those most visible in shunning your grace: the false King Trumpf*, who profits from the ignorance of so many at Mar-a-Lago, and the Oxycontin/Viagra-mixer King Limbaugh, whose World Headquarters are the origination point for the most pedantic of lies to his Legions of Ignoramii.

Oh Lord, both are ostentatious (ref. osteen) in their digressions, yet plainly sit in the path of your Blessed creation Huracán Irma (¡Gracias a Dios!), and will have no greater glory than to be stripped clean by your winds and washed pure by your waters.

      Amen!

  1. DCCC = DC = Corporate Democrats who keep doing the same losing thing over and over and over:

…an old friend who's running for Congress in Illinois, David Gill, is a life-long progressive in a swing district that Obama won in 2008 and then lost by a handful of votes in 2012. It was the wrong kind of district for Hillary and Trump beat her 49.7% to 44.2%. But in the primaries Bernie swept the district by a landslide, beating Hillary in the biggest of the 14 counties. (sound familiar? -ed.)

Please, do not impute that I intend these nagging details to apply to our Beloved Senator for Life, who can do no wrong, yet who does so little right.

And even as the DCCC somehow finds another corporate, self-funding Dem (are we really that cheap?), Howie and David Gill and Zappatero can all agree on this:

We must have representatives who believe in science, who will stand up passionately in the greatest battle in human history:  the fight against climate change. ….

But of course, we have a Congress made up of too many men and women who stand against single-payer and science and civil rights.

They take the big money from the insurance industry and the pharmaceutical industry, the arms manufacturers and the oil industry, and then they work on behalf of those corporations.

(This absolutely does not apply to our Dear SFL Bennet!).

We need representatives who stand against this corporate ownership of our politics and our government, and I intend to work tirelessly to undo the impact of Citizens United, up to and including working to pass a Constitutional amendment stating explicitly that corporations are not people and that money is not speech.

Yet there are so many who equate money to speech, money to inevitable victory, money to principles, and money to…..well, just about everything.

    1.  many who equate money to speech, money to inevitable victory, money to principles, and money to…..well, just about everything.

      Therein lies our greatest obstacle…

  2. Good news, everyone!

U.S. Education Secretary Betsy DeVos to visit Colorado this week

Dear Leader is sure that whichever of your urchins are afflicted with her glorious presence will be suitably appreciative.

The department declined to identify which Colorado schools — public or private — DeVos will visit, saying that announcement will come Tuesday. Multiple school districts, charter school networks and education advocates contacted by Chalkbeat said they were unaware of any pending visit by DeVos.

    1. I am pretty sure it was Delta Petroleum who tried, and failed,to get around having man-camps in the Plateau creek area by tricking 2 of the Mesa County Commissioners (Craig Meis was in on it) into putting language in their Master Land Use Plan that would have allowed a company to house up to 20 workers on a well pad..without notice or compensation to the landowner. Such a deal….
