The Company Kevin Lundberg Keeps?

WEDNESDAY UPDATE: The photo below apparently originates from something called the “Denver Stormer Book Club,” which we’ll confess we did not even know existed until we received this photo. And it appears they’ve been Photoshopping!

For those of you wondering, the left one is Arapahoe County DA George Brauchler,  illustrated pressing the button to gas the Aurora theater shooter. The right one is Lundberg again, presumably acting out the fantasies of the Denver Stormer Book Club.

Of course, we’re not implying that this “art” was sanctioned by either candidate. But just like the alt-right’s fascination with Republicans at higher levels, it’s perfectly fair to ask what the, you know, affinity might be here.

A photo sent to us today is likely to cause some uncomfortable moments for the leading GOP candidate for Colorado Treasurer, Sen. Kevin Lundberg:

That’s a guy wearing a T-shirt for the white supremacist Daily Stormer website, which readers are aware has migrated to the “dark web” after gaining infamy for smearing victims of the white supremacist vehicular terror attack in Charlottesville, Virginia. It’s entirely possible the photo was taken before the Charlottesville attack, but Daily Stormer’s longstanding role as a central white supremacist organizing platform offers Lundberg little excuse.

Little excuse, and lots of unpleasant questions for one of Colorado’s hardest-right elected officials! After all, Lundberg’s political nexus with the Daily Stormer crowd is as easy to find as the Republican Study Committee of Colorado’s field trips to the Mexican border to “fact-find” with militia groups.

But we’ll leave that all to Sen. Lundberg to explain.

      1. Moldy. Your Daily Stormer friends have killed people and would have killed more if that Vice News doc with the crying Nazi is any indication.

         

        If you want to continue smearing Planned Parenthood, are you willing to do the decent thing and condemn the Charlottesville Nazis like Cory Gardner himself has done?

  3. Let's compare and contrast the tale of two T-shirts,  shall we? One is a Planned Parenthood T shirt, the other is a Daily Stormer T shirt. One of them he'll take a selfie with, the other needs him to "fight" to "promote moral values".

    Lundberg begins by supposing that 90% of the audience were "Bernie Sanders Supporters" and wore T shirts supporting Planned Parenthood"! The horror! Undaunted, the senator preaches

    However, we cannot ignore this intensity of opinion. I would say we should redouble our efforts to work toward the principles of good government, liberty and promoting moral values, except redoubling our efforts is not enough. We are at a critical point in our culture. We cannot stand back and expect somebody else to fix it! We must re-establish the values upon which our country was founded.

    This is what drives me to stay in the political arena and fight. Not with barbs and darts but with generosity, compassion, hard work and with a second and third effort to make things right again. We must pray to God for mercy. We must work for righteousness. And never, never, ever give up!

    So, Senator Lundberg, how is that "promoting moral values", and generosity, compassion, making things right, and righteousness align with the Daily Stormer's values:

      1. I'm not supporting the photoshopped pic of Senator Lundberg. While we are on diffenremt ends of the political spectrum that picture is really offensive and it would be unimaginable that he would have a single anti-Semite bone in his body. 

            1. I do think the photoshops of Brauchler and Lundberg into Nazi uniforms are distasteful and inappropriate. Bad joke, if humor is what the intent was. Kindly take them down.

          2. Moddy – could you be any bigger POS? My comment was made without seeing the update with the second set of pictures.  Yes, I find the Lundberg picture, in particular, offensive.  While the senator and I may not agree on much of anything politically – he's undeserving of that picture.  I'm guessing the folks who created that trash would be much more likely to have a beer with you than me.
