  1. Observers in Poland report a major outbreak of Trumpstink in Europe.  Let us share our thoughts and prayers with the leader of the Free World, Angela Merkel, as she fights for the values we hold dear.

    Stay upwind, my friends.

        1. So much winning.  Are we tired yet?

Japan and Europe counter Trump with Colossal trade deal

"Leaders from Japan and the European Union on Thursday announced their agreement on the broad strokes of a trade deal that will cover nearly 30 percent of the global economy, 10 percent of the world's population and 40 percent of global trade…Coming on the eve of the Group of 20 meeting of global leaders in Hamburg, Germany, the announcement appeared to be a calculated rebuke of both the United States, which has spurned global trade agreements in favor of more protectionist policies under President Trump, and Great Britain, which voted to leave the European Union last year."

  2. Another day, another GOP senator comes out against Trump Care….

This time from the swing state (yeah, right) of North Dakota….

    http://www.cnn.com/2017/07/06/politics/john-hoeven-health-care-bill-north-dakota-roundtable/index.html

This should provide Heidi Heitkamp with some cover next year. If you're keeping score at home, I believe this brings the "No's" to 58 (46 Dems, 2 indies, Collins, Capito, Paul, Cruz, Lee, Johnson, Moran, Heller, Murkowski).

    1. These are desperate gasps by a failing bureaucracy that's losing the war – a trillion-dollar debacle by our federal government.  Section 7606 of the 2014 Farm Bill (made possible by Jared Polis) legalizes the cultivation of the industrial hemp plants in states where the activity is legalized (with no exceptions to any part of the plant, including the flower where the CBD is derived from).  McConnell inserted rider 763 into The Omnibus Appropriations Act of 2016 (P.L. 114-113) that states:

“None of the funds made available by this act or any other act may be used… to prohibit the transportation, processing, sale or use of industrial hemp that is grown or cultivated in accordance with section 7606 of the Agricultural Act of 2014, within or outside the State in which the industrial hemp is grown or cultivated.”

There's over 30 states where industrial hemp is now legal; Congressman Comer (KY) will be introducing the 2017 Industrial Hemp Farming Act later this month that will deschedule the plant in its entirety.

Their game is up.  It might be nice if DEA would focus their resources on real problems.

    1. So, I guess there'll be an increased demand for more "stupid" in the foreseeable future?!?

(Moderatus in the engine room:  “I'm taking all the stupid I can already, Captain!  I don't know how much more I can take before I blow!!!” . . .)

    2. Some really good news from one of Colorado's most conservative and fossil fuel oriented counties, Delta.  They are now engaged in SolSmart, C-PACE and is in its third round of Solarize.  Plus, more than 60 layed off coal miners have been retrained and are now installing fiber for DMEA's Elevate broadband service as subcontractors.  Talk about bottoms up economic development!

Are you paying attention TwoScoops™? Cory?  Could you just stop lying to the good people from coal country about the future of coal? Retrain them to enter a 21st-century workforce?  In case you missed this little nugget…enjoy.
