Mixed News for Referenda C&D

The Denver Post reported over the weekend that Referenda C&D were facing a tough road toward passage in November, but the poll numbers may actually indicate good news for supporters.

If the election were held today, 43 percent of the 625 respondents said they would vote in favor of Referendum C, and 42 percent said they would not. Fifteen percent said they were undecided.

On Referendum D, 45 percent of the poll’s respondents said they would vote against it, compared with 39 percent in favor. Sixteen percent said they were undecided.

So why could that be good news for C&D supporters? Because two months ago there was at least one poll that came back showing C&D were going to fail miserably in November. If that poll was true, and this most recent poll is also accurate, then the ‘YES’ group has actually made ground despite the opposition running with a cleaner message. It’s far too early to take any poll too seriously, but things may be looking up for C&D supporters.
