Signs point to end of Musgrave's candidate days

To the best of my knowledge, ex-Rep. Marilyn Musgrave has never formally ruled out another run in 2010. She still has an active campaign committee as a residual of her 2008 campaign, but it appears from her filings with the Federal Election Commission that she will soon terminate her campaign committee, likely ending any thoughts of running in 2010.

You can get full details and links at my Coloradoan blog: http://tr.im/j84w

In an April 7 FEC filing, Musgrave’s campaign treasurer, Brent Eskew, said her campaign committee will be terminated once it settles a debt with Saber Communications, which provided fundraising mailing lists. There appears to be some disagreement over a $5,725 “win bonus” for Saber, which already has been paid more than $61,000 by the Musgrave campaign for its services in the 2008 election.

Musgrave’s campaign Web site also is gone and the domain names used in her previous campaigns are available.

I thought we had a big flashing neon sign put up on November 7, 2008.

    What gives?
