Republican Rick O’Donnell, the only announced candidate for CD-7, announced today that he had raised an astonishing $269,127 in his first three months of fundraising.
O’Donnell’s campaign was quick to point out that ODonnell has raised more and has more cash-on-hand than any other candidate for an open Congressional seat after their first two quarters combined (since 2002). We haven’t checked the numbers ourselves, but $269k is a very impressive number for three months worth of fundraising.
From the press release:
“I am grateful for the early support weve received in such a short period of time,” said Rick ODonnell. “Im honored, humbled and thankful that people are investing in our campaign. I look forward to working hard for the people of the 7th Congressional district and continuing our strong and effective representation in Congress,” he continued.
If Democrat Ed Perlmutter, our leader on the CD-7 Line, isn’t somewhere close to $269k, we may have a new leader on the line.
