The federal suit related to Colorado redistricting has failed at the trial court level. The only shot the GOP has left is a second attempt to go to the U.S. Supreme Court, after it failed to get the U.S. Supreme Court to act on the Colorado Supreme Court’s ruling affirming the map.

Perlmutter has hired Celinda Lake.
Guess the Rethuglicans have to compete in CD-7 like real men. It’s never as much fun when you tilt the pinball machine…
The ruling in full text is here:

With 2 recurring ColoradoPols themes in the RMN, I find it odd that no one has brought up the articles.
The Secret Service decided to not file charges in the Moveon3 non-case. http://www.rockymountainnews.com/drmn/news/article/0,1299,DRMN_3_3963679,00.html
And, Tancredo has the full support of Ken Mehlman.

I hope that by support he means something like when a flailing coach gets a vote of confidence from the GM and then gets fired a week later.
El Paso County GOPer’s,
Terry is not the best leader in El Paso County. Terry did not win by a huge margin for her position and she only won because there was no one else running against her and Eric. People thought Eric would be a loose cannon and hence they voted for Terry. She has proven to be a worthless leader and it will show once the elections roll around. For example, at a going away party for Cindy Murphy, Terry stood over the “contributions” and counted how many people were in the room, including children and questioned why the KIDS didn’t pay! Give me a break! Further, she is not a good people person. In fact, her people skills SUCK! So, don’t go saying she is good for El Paso when the Consevatives don’t like nor support her! WORTHLESS!
George Culpepper is a shining symbol of exactly what was wrong with the El Paso County GOP.
And his tiresome ranting sticks out like a fingerprint. Go back to Denver and pick on leftie indian professors.
The decision in the Denver Three case is interesting: no explainations, no identifications, no nothing. The statement says “prosecutors” decided not to file charges in the case. Since when does DHS speak for prosecutors? Normally the Justice Department does that kind of stuff.
Guess the Denver Three will have to go ahead and file their civil suit to get to the bottom of this. FOIA, baby – FOIA.
Fortunately for the Three, this news keeps them in the paper a bit longer.
All the democratic CD7 candidates will be debating at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds Saturday @ 6:00. Ed Perlmutter, Peggy Lamm, Herb Rubenstein. Should be an entertaining show.
The Denver Three story is tired. It’s time for them and the media to move on.
I agree….Get over it Scott! You were a sore leader in the CO GOP! Culpepper did a good job in El Paso. In fact, need I remind you about his votes to the position?
I agree with Lebowski, the “Denver Three” story is really tired. It is kept alive by the media and a few bored bloggers. (I just became one of them) You could ask 100 people about the “Denver Three” and they would have no idea who you were talking about.
