GOP candidate in CD-7 announces

  • by: A-bob

Brian T Campbell Sr. has just launched a website for his 2010 Congressional run against Ed Perlmutter. Campbell is the first to announce his candidacy for the Republican nomination. Last year Ed Perlmutter blew away Republican John Lerew…will Campbell be different?

I would like to introduce myself. My name is Brian T Campbell Sr. I am forty years old. I have a wonderful and most loyal wife of fourteen years and together we have five children. I have served as a finance comittee member overseeing a multimillion dollar budget. I served on the governing board of my Church. I have been involved with many community organizations and have served on the Annual Thanksgiving Feeding board with Mustard Seed Ministries.  I was involved in the organizing of festvals, parades and other community events. Thus far, most of my activities have centered around our local community. I believe that I can now serve a higher purpose nationally.

Does Campbell stand a chance?

  1. That someone in the poll (probably A-bob, himself, but no matter) wrote that this is a 50-50 toss-up. Lerew at least had a platform, Mr. Campbell has a set of platitudes, and none of them are very convincingly written either.

Anyone, and I mean ANYONE, who thinks the GOP is “Stronger than ever” is not only not paying attention, they’re woefully unable to see the nature of the world around them.

Perlmutter is popular, bright and capable. Unless he pulls a Mark Foley, there’s not a chance in hell Brian Campbell will be elected to Congress.

      1. “The Republican Party has lost it’s way” or some sort of statement to that effect.

Saying the party is stronger than ever is very different than saying that the party can become strong again. He should’ve taken the latter approach. The former makes him seem delusional.

  2. Like someone would confuse him with his, assumedly, under 14 y/o son…

Also a big fan of “other venues…the grocery store.”  He’s just like the rest of us, damnit!  🙂

    1. That is about the worst domain name for a campaign. To use your full name including first letter of your middle name and the Sr. part.

That website makes it so hard to reach him that he probably won’t even win the primary. Tom Janich will probaby run again and maybe even beat him!

I don’t see how Janich loses City Council race then thinks Congress will be easier to get into

  3. My people, MOTIVATION IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS! Let’s get the word out that the GOP is STRONGER THAN EVER! We cannot waiver on our core issues. We must be steadfast, never backing down from what we believe, never taking no as the answer. I need your help, you my help. Together we can take back Washington.

Never taking NO as an answer??? Never?  Not even when No is the answer such as…’should we ever back down from what we believe’?

This from the party of NO!

  4. take off your sun glasses when indoors and for pictures you intend to post on your website.  Potential voters like to see the eyes of the people seeking to represent them (unless you are visually impaired, then you can wear them).
