Word has it the winner only has to give 70% to the losers…hehehe. Ok, Ok..

Who’s going to win this thing? Favorite commercials…

    1. Too many mistakes. You’d think they were working on Wall Street or something.

What a great interception and run back by the Steelers.

You’d think McCain was the QB.

        1. Skeptic–on your planet, let the Repubs be in control.  They have no clue.  Neither do you, so it’s a match made in heaven.

And oh, by the way, is the reason why you answer your own posts because nobody else will talk to you?

          I figured.

  1. I will root for the Steelers because I have rooted for them since BF (Before Franco).  I will root for the Cards because they have never won one and because of Pat Tillman.

That means I’ll probably root for whoever is behind at the time.

But that’s not what you asked.

I think defense wins Superbowls.  Steelers.

  2. since they’re also from Pennsylvania, but mainly because the Cardinals beat the Eagles and I want revenge.

My wife says that’s silly, that instead I should root for the Cardinals since it’s better to be defeated by the number one team than the number two team.

  3. I don’t know who came up with it – I had it on an email list, so I’m certainly posting someone else’s intellectual property without attribution, but it’s unintentional…

BCS DECLARES GERMANY WINNER OF WORLD WAR II US Ranked 4th

After determining the Big-12 championship game participants the BCS computers were put to work on other major contests and today the BCS declared Germany to be the winner of World War II.

“Germany put together an incredible number of victories beginning with the annexation of Austria and the Sudetenland and continuing on into conference play with defeats of Poland, France, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium and the Netherlands. Their only losses came against the US and Russia; however considering their entire body of work–including an incredibly tough Strength of Schedule–our computers deemed them worthy of the #1 ranking.”

Questioned about the #4 ranking of the United States the BCS commissioner stated “The US only had two major victories–Japan and Germany. The computer models, unlike humans, aren’t influenced by head-to-head contests–they consider each contest to be only a single, equally-weighted event.”

German Chancellor Adolph Hiter said “Yes, we lost to the US; but we defeated #2 ranked France in only 6 weeks.” Herr Hitler has been criticized for seeking dramatic victories to earn ‘style points’ to enhance Germany’s rankings. Hitler protested “Our contest with Poland was in doubt until the final day and the conditions in Norway were incredibly challenging and demanded the application of additional forces.”

The French ranking has also come under scrutiny. The BCS commented ”

France had a single loss against Germany and following a preseason #1 ranking they only fell to #2.”

Japan was ranked #3 with victories including Manchuria, Borneo and the Philippines.

    1. …the writing style is consistent with an Onion-like sports spoof site TheBrushback.com. However, it’s not  in the archives, and it doesn’t pop up with a search.

I forwarded it to a buddy in the Army – one class that all combat arms officers have to attend is at Fort Leavenworth, and studying Germany in WWII is most of the class.

His response – “Why study a military that’s lost two World Wars?”

    1. My friend last night told Kurt Warner was out at dinner a few nights ago in Tampa and a bunch of Steelers fans were at a table near him, taunting him and giving him a bunch of shit.

He bought all of their dinners when he left. That’s total class.

  4. So I’ll support them since the broncs aren’t there.

Don’t care one whit about football, but I like to support my home team(s).

I’m taping the game though, so I can watch Springsteen later and to check out the new commericals.

    1. I don’t have to sit through all the drudgery of an average SNL episode or a Super Bowl game to see the highlights (i.e., the commercials). Even when I am watching, I’m never paying enough attention anyway to see the good ones.
