  1. Arvada man threatens to grant Colorado Senator Laura Woods, her family 'a bullet straight to the head'

Since I don't approve of Woods' stance on many things, I have a feeling I share many of the same political beliefs as the suspect in this. There is no way I share his methods or find them acceptable. This is absolutely unacceptable.

Want political change? Write letters or emails. Make phone calls. Volunteer. Do NOT threaten someone with violence. Violence in the name of political change is called "terrorism." Don't be a terrorist.

  2. Denver Post editorial:

Colorado’s Raise the Bar initiative gets it wrong

Amending the Colorado constitution should be more difficult than adding a statute. But this amendment isn’t a fix.

While it seeks a laudable goal, the Raise the Bar effort to make it more difficult to amend Colorado’s constitution goes too far, and citizens liberal, moderate and conservative would soon come to hate its provisions.

And I've always thought I just have poor self control.
