Some Links to Help the GOP Rebuild

( – promoted by Colorado Pols)

I want to share with you some links and ideas that are floating around the Republican online activism networks.

Its nothing unexpected or scary, they are just planning to take over the world.

First, the chatter about the overall rebuild. Their first (and really only) priority is building an online infrastructure to rival the Left’s. My favorite part is near the end when they talk about the “inherently conservative idea” of inclusion that was apparently manipulated by the Obamatons.

Whatever.

Somehow I can’t see many people consciously choosing to be a part of a group that relies on marginalizing either the “fiscal” proponents or the religious extreme of the party in order to get anything done. How could any libertarian “maverick” worth her salt possibly tolerate taking orders from a flat-earther?

Then there is the Palin fan-club who want to see her or someone like her rise to the occasion by 2010 or 2012.

Fuck those assholes.

And finally, because I have been following it, Personhood Colorado is going national with PersonhoodUSA. They are intentionally targeting states with low-thresholds to get the eggmendment on other ballots.

God sent out the memo that a crushing 73% defeat was not His will so, onward Christian soldiers!!!

Child abuser and eggmendment supporter Bob Enyart said:

“Part of our goal was to overturn Roe v. Wade, but it’s not reasonable to expect an institution to correct its error,” he said. “Our goal is to increase the social tension over abortion.”

(On) What would Jesus spend?

Demoralized Republicans, please click a link to choose your favorite flavor of fail and they will gladly furnish the signs that read if you aren’t with us, then you’re with the terrorists and you can run with it from there.

  1. Certain purported members of the GOP have entangled themselves in foul coalitions that work against their core economic and political interests. They have bought into strategies of compromise … many reasons exist … it is the easy way out, political expediency, wanting to be loved by others across the community, afraid of being labeled divisive, threatened with other labels such as racism, etc…

Let’s take a look inside one classroom:

With a 30%+ dropout rate it is clear that public schools are failing our students. The question is why … Unions are one key.

Parents, teachers and administrators who demand accountability don’t seem to have the same level of failure. In fact these charterizers & privatizers have the choice and have chosen to be accountable.

    1. I went to private school and have many friends who are products of the charter system. The level of accountability in both is sub-par in my experience.

Then again, we all hate authority.

I’m not really sure what you are trying to say here.

  2. Betsey Markey may survive due to what could be one bloody primary. The early favorite has to be Bob Schaffer. Yet, you have Ken Buck, Marc Hillman, Cory Gardner, Scott Renfre, Greg Brophy and Steve Johnson anxious to move up the ladder.

  3. Excellent Podcast from KCRW in Santa Monica that has a true all-points discussion on this issue:

“With a week and a day until it’s all over, John McCain and Barack Obama are making their closing arguments. Meantime, McCain’s advisors have accused Sarah Palin of going “off message” and refusing to take advice. Palin sources say she’s trying to “bust free” of political mismanagement.  Divisions within a struggling campaign may be shedding light on a broader conflict over the future of the Republican Party. Does the GOP need reform to stay in touch with a changing America or is it time to recommit the Grand Old Party to undiluted conservatism? ”

    1. is that Dick has only been State Chair for around 20 months. It took him less than 2 years to demolish what it took some a lifetime to build and hold.

      1. and not forget the efforts of Trailhead, Both Ways Bob, and the kingpins who shafted Schaffer in 2004. All laid the groundwork for said demolition, if not actually part of it.

        1. otherwise they would have been surprising.  Two right leaning counties going right is not a success.

The closest thing Wadhams could consider a victory is not losing seats.

  4. The State GOP needs to appoint someone to run it from outside politics.  Someone that’s not a total cock, that’s good at management and working with people.

Folks, we have had our asses handed to us by running poor campaigns.  I look at the Governor’s race and that seems to me that Bob should have won that in a walk, save the second-worst-run campaign of all time (McCain takes the cake with the prizes for being a dick on other people’s blogs).

Ritter in my eyes is vulnerable.  He truly has done very little, other than usher in a pointless and outrageously expensive business/labor cage match where we’re just about back where we started.

While the Dems are drunk with excitement of taking over everything because of people like Wadhams, I hope some of us can fight through and run good, principled candidates that aren’t encumbered by the old-school.

The fact that Lamborn and Doug Bruce have been within 10 years of a job in politics shows you how far we have to come in a short time.

Sheesh.  Fucking Lamborn?  Are you kidding me?

    1. Isn’t that a good campaign slogan for Ritter?  Well, I’m disappointed, too, that he didn’t cram socialist programs down our throats, but so far, not disasters.

    2. but how do Republicans go about getting rid of Wadhams? Someone should step up and be a leader.

I don’t know how much sway you have with other Rs LB, but you should write some letters. Try to get some kind of pressure on the party to get its collective shit together.
