New video spot puts them all together for posterity:
From the liberal activist group Progress Now. Accompanying release follows–says Director Mike Huttner, “We launched this video as people have the right to know Schaffer’s long history of scandals.”
And it is quite the long history, isn’t it?

Monday, October 27, 2008
Michael Huttner
(303) 931-4547Denver – A new video summarizing ex-Congressman Bob Schaffer’s pattern of corruption launched at noon Mountain Time today. The group also launched an online petition calling for Schaffer to stop covering up his scandals.
“We call for Big Oil Bob to stop covering up his scandals,” stated Michael Huttner, Executive Director of ProgressNowAction, the state’s largest online advocacy organization. “We launched this video as people have the right to know Schaffer’s long history of scandals.”
The video, which can be viewed by clicking the image above, can also be seen by clicking the following link:
“One of the main reasons that even fellow conservatives are abandoning Big Oil Bob is that they are tired of his ties to corruption and scandals,” stated Huttner. “From trips arranged by Jack Abramoff to getting caught for war profiteering, Schaffer’s record is embarrassing.”
ProgressNowAction launched an online petition which will be delivered to Schaffer to call for him to stop covering up his scandals. The petition can be signed at schafferscandals.com.

Schaffer is toast – this is kicking him when he’s down. Yes I understand that it’s a good idea and you want to be 101% sure that Udall wins, and wins big (to make it clear that this is now a Democratic state).
But it does feel mean.
It would be “mean” on November 5th. In the meantime, club him like a seal (right wing term, felt right though).
…don’t be one of THOSE PEOPLE who count victories before the finish line.
Don’t be complacent David. I don’t trust BS as far as I can fling him, and I’m glad PN is taking him just as serious.
But I do wish it wasn’t necessary.
Schaffer is still running nasty ads that are lying about Udall – nail him to the floor.
Ah… that’s the new politics of good harmony and fellowship! 😉
And losing while playing nice & gentle does not solve the problems we face. I’m not Udall’s number 1 fan but I think he has been much more focused on the issues, and much more honest in his advertising.
and they just keep digging their own grave. Wadhams is a washed up one trick pony and the new ad proves it. Someone should tell him the “boulder liberal” tag is a reflection upon the incompetence of the Schaffer campaign to actually create a winning strategy for their campaign.
