In 2000, John McCain was a different candidate. He defended tax plans that affect the wealthiest Americans more than the middle class. Listen to him, and you’ll swear Barack Obama stole his material from 2000 McCain.
He’s a middle class hero in this video! What the hell happened in the last eight years?! You would have no idea they were the same candidate. 2008 McCain would have to consider 2000 McCain a socialist, since he was talking about giving the middle class a bigger break than the wealthiest Americans.
He doesn’t say “spread the wealth”, but the compassion for the middle class is there. It’s just not anymore.
