From The Denver Post:
Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama will hold an event in Denver on Sunday, his campaign said today.
This will be his third trip to Colorado since the Democratic National Convention in August.

Good move by Obama. GOTV as much as possible in Denver.
since I already did the deed Monday. But still, a good move on Obama part. Sure, he’ll be public. Just pray that his grandma is ok, though. I would hate to see her die before her grandson does what just a few years ago all the smart money deemed was impossible.
In my book, Obama has Colorado all but locked up. But a final Obama inspired surge could make the difference for down ticket races ranging from Jeffco county commissioners to Betsy Markey. Heck, he might even be able to stop me from getting nauseous every time I remember that I finally voted for Mark (Superwimp) Udall.
A rising tide lifts all boats and, Democrats, your rising tide is named barak obama.
🙂
…has Mayor Peanut and Mayor Webb sitting in camera frame, but has some safe white pastor introduce him.
He might even throw out some Biblical quotes as well – why else would it be on a Sunday?
Other than it doesn’t conflict with a Bronco game this weekend…
perhaps we could use a conflict with the game
Sunday at a time TBA.
Clinton spoke there in 1992 and won Colorado. Truman spoke there in 1948 when he won Colorado and was a massive underdog. LBJ was the only other Dem candidate to carry Colorado since Truman.

Maybe I’ll take some pictures and post them here a la Jenn At Obama for America.
I am wondering how the rally will impact the early voting that is scheduled for that Sunday at the Webb Building.
I am guessing that some streets may be closed because of crowds. Will people who want to vote be able to get into the Webb Building?
What about the 100 foot electioneering rule?
Last thing I would think the Obama people would want to do is impede early voting in Denver. This could have that effect.
For the record, the hours are:

11 A.M. to 7 P.M. (9-7 at the elections division office)
Monday, October 20 – Saturday, October 25
Monday, October 27 – Friday, October 31
Denver to Offer Additional Early Voting in Two Locations, Sunday Oct. 26
Unprecedented level of mail-in ballot requests and voter convenience major factors in decision
(Denver) – Due to the high number of mail-in ballot requests and a desire to maximize voter convenience, the Denver Elections Division is adding Sunday, October 26 in two locations to our already extensive early voting schedule.

I didn’t know. That’s great they expanded the hours.
however, it needs more publicity. No one will vote Sunday, if they don’t think they can.
It is realitively easy to close off Civic center without closing off the Webb Bldg. They just set up the barriers on the south side of colfax.
