Jr’s got nothing on his dad. Can’t carry the tune and forgets the words. Still, the take home is that Gov. Palin will be in GJ on Monday at Suplizio Field. With Hank Jr. along to stir up the crowd, Palin is also stopping in Loveland and Colorado Springs.
A Sentinel update reports.
Vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin is headed to Grand Junction for a rally Monday night at Suplizio Field, and it’s been learned that country-western music legend Hank Williams Jr. will be joining her at the event.
The Rocky Mountain News is reporting that Williams will be performing at all of Palin’s events across Colorado on Monday. Palin will be in Colorado Springs at 8 a.m. Monday, followed by a noon stop in Loveland and a 6 p.m. event in Grand Junction.

A Monday night party!
He’s just angling for a plum job in the McCain/Palin administration. Possibly the top spot in the Office of Emergency Football Preparedness.
By the way, he prefers to be called Bocephus.
I know Merle Haggard endorsed Clinton in the primary, but it didn’t move my vote and god I love Merle.
I wonder who Jerry Reed is voting for?
I have a feeling, though, that if Hank III supports Obama, he’s not going to announce that and let the other side use it against Obama. 🙂
Jerry Reed left us this year for the great guitar twang sound in the sky. Still he might be voting in Chicago for somebody! 🙂
Great musician and I always enjoyed him even if he is best known for being a novelty
Jerry Reed died August 31, 2008.
You probably didn’t get the memo, Danny.
…has she weighed in? And Dolly?!
But it’s the weekend…even if this isn’t the Weekend Open Thread.
I like this Hank III song. His voice sounds so much more like his grandfather’s than his dad’s. As I said, it may be for Obama’s benefit if Hank III likes Obama and doesn’t endorse him. (Then again, who knows? Maybe it would help!):
Also, as tribute to the late Jerry Reed, here’s a clip of him just playing guitar. Just a reminder of how awesome he was at his instrument — although I do really like his vocals, too, and he is most remembered for singing the theme to Smokey and the Bandit and other songs (like my favorite, Amos Moses):
thanks for posting it
Here’s the real deal.
Supporters in Colorado Springs are urged to wear red. Suppose this is an attempt to show Colorado is still a Red state? Let’s hope there are no stray bulls in the neighborhood.
Racist McCain Supporter Hangs Obama in Effigy in Ohio Neighborhood
Is this one the “pro-America” supporters Palin was talking about?
You’ll know them by their nifty sheets, confederate flags, and burning crosses.
He not only doesn’t have anything on his dad, his son has lapped him now too. Go Hank III
Holding a rally during a Bronco game! They might as well wear Raider black.
She already wore a Red Wings jersey. I guess She really doesn’t get where our priorities lie.
Or if her staff had a frickin’ clue.
You don’t suppose Dobson had anything to do with it, do you?
is struck by lightning. It’d be tragic, but it would really help our faith.
