You must be one of the idiots who believe that we can just bomb the hell out of anyone who disagrees with the U.S. Have you read anything lately, like the Bush administration doing just what Obama is suggesting in this video.
Ok, here goes my civility. You’re a fucking idiot.
Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, FDR, Churchill, etc – they all talked to their enemies without pre-conditions. That didn’t mean they agreed to anything, it just meant that they were smart enough to try all avenues.
As to the no talking, just attack approach – how is that working out in Iraq? I heard they are throwing so many flowers at our troops it’s hard for them to move through the cheering crowds.
How did nobody end up in a major war with the impossible to deal with, crazy Russians? Oh, right, Sarkozy (acting as President of the EU) sat down with Medvedev and settled on a withdrawal plan, that worked.
